Education of nurses both locally and across the province is a top priority for the Heart Centre. Our vision for education is that our nurses meet and exceed standards of practice outlined by College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia, and the Canadian Council of Cardiovascular Nurses. We believe this can be achieved by providing an environment conducive to life-long learning. To provide this environment, we encourage and support nurses to attend educational meetings and events.

We also provide a comprehensive in-house education program as well as an expanded program offered to the rest of the province in the form of the Heart Centre's annual nursing conference and video conferencing.
Nurses employed within the Heart Centre are actively encouraged and supported to complete their Canadian Nurses' Association certification in cardiovascular nursing (CCN(C)).
