Giving to the Heart Centre
Many of the procedures and treatments now available at the Heart Centre didn’t exist a decade ago. Thanks to the intensely creative cardiac research going on at St. Paul’s and around the world, the advances have been momentous. However, many of these novel therapies require extremely sophisticated – and expensive – technologies. That means hospitals have to work very hard to raise funds to buy the equipment and support the highly specialized needs of its cardiac programs. When donors support the Heart Centre, they are contributing to the health of all British Columbians – men and women, those from urban and rural communities, young adults and older people alike.
