Body Mass Index
(BMI)
You may know that you have to
watch your weight, but did you know that knowing your body
mass index (BMI) is a better predictor of risk of
disease than body weight alone? BMI is simply a calculated ratio
between weight and height that correlates with body fat. The
higher the BMI, the greater the risk a person has to develop
additional health problems. Also, a BMI can be too low. |
