The Heart Centre provides complete care for British Columbians with all kinds of heart disease.

We are the only hospital in the province that offers all services from heart disease prevention to heart transplantation and mechanical hearts. How to get here.

Heart Centre Patients: 

Patient care and services will be maintained in the Heart Centre areas that are not impacted by the outbreaks. As a provincial referral site for cardiac care, we will also continue to work with our regional and provincial partners, including Cardiac Services BC, to maintain access to cardiac care for patients and families.

Heart Tests

Before treatment for your heart problem begins, you may need some tests to give us more information about your heart condition. At the Heart Centre we use state-of-the-art equipment to get this information.

Cardiac Rehab + Disease Prevention

The Cardiac Rehab Program is dedicated to reducing risks for heart and blood vessel diseases. This includes maintaining and improving the heart health of the people of British Columbia.  The Prevention Clinic is dedicated to preventing heart and blood vessel diseases as well as diabetes.

Angiograms and PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) are performed in the Cardiac Catheterization Labs by a team of physicians, nurses and allied health professionals.

The Yasmin & Amir Virani Provincial Adult Congenital Heart Program (VPACH) provides care for adults with congenital heart disease. The Heritable Aortopathies clinic (HAC) provides assessments, care and follow up for people with a wide range of genetic disorders that stretch or weaken the aorta.
