Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death among men and women in Canada. The goals of the Healthy Heart Program are to improve the quality of life of patients referred to the program and reduce cardiovascular risk through education, counseling, and optimal medical therapy. Patients will need to get a referral from their general practitioner. Self referral is accepted for the Metabolic Syndrome program.
