Not everyone is suitable for a heart transplant. It is up to the transplant team to make this decision after a detailed assessment. Potential candidates will need to be referred by their GP or specialist to the Heart Transplant Program. Contact numbers can be found below.

The Heart Centre at St Paul’s has 2 heart transplant clinics – a pre-heart transplant clinic , for patients who are referred to us to find out whether or not they are heart transplant candidates, and a post-heart transplant clinic for patients who have had a heart transplant. The services provided for these two clinics are similar to the services provided for the heart failure service.
